Educational Courses
- 2 Dives are included and done on the shallow side of the Barrier Reef. We recommend this course if it's been more than a year since your last dive and especially if you are lacking in dive experience.
*All dives are supervised by a Licensed Dive Master.*
9am to 1pm
1st Dive: 6ft/2m to 12ft/4m maximum. Some skills are practiced and then a short dive follows.
Surface Interval: 30 minutes at Shark/Ray Alley and some fruits and water are had.
2nd Dive: 15ft/5m to 30ft/10m in The Channel. No skills done on this dive but you can practice buoyancy control while checking out the reef.
- This course is meant for someone that has never tried diving and wants to experience the underwater world without getting a certification. Perfect if one does not have the time to get fully certified.
The course starts off at "The Dive Shop":
- fill out Discover Scuba Diver form and Medical Statement
- go over gear and safety rules of SCUBA diving
- demonstration of SCUBA exercises by Dive Master
- question and answer, which of course can be done at any given point
After the "classroom" session, divers head out to "The Reef" where they will put their diving skills to use.
1st Dive: 6ft/2m SCUBA exercises are practiced followed by a short tour of the coral reef
Surface Interval: Shark/Ray Alley for 30 minutes. Water and fresh fruits are had.
2nd Dive: 12ft/4m to 30ft/10m for 45 minutes. No SCUBA exercises just diving for fun and seeing the reef and sea critters.
